"It is better to be a warrior walking through a garden, than a gardener walking through a war" paraphrases a Chinese proverb. In reality, everyone has a little bit of both gardener and warrior. In life, we sometimes cultivate, while other times we need to find deeper willpower to overcome.
Whether you are an athlete or an office worker, my goal is to help you re-imagine who you are exactly. With experience as a Health and Wellness Coach, plus my personal transformational and self healing yoga journey, my individualized approach will help you reach new plateaus.
Located in Largo close to Central Park, I offer 1:1 in studio sessions and small group classes, providing effortless hands-on stretching routines and a gentle fundamental/restorative yoga practice.
I also help identify foods that can work against your well being, and redirect your awareness to better nutritional values and choices.
As a Certified Health and Wellness Coach / Yoga Teacher, I have the experience and techniques to help you to identify your "edge". Our edge is where we access our opportunities to find growth. Only by walking up to the edge on a routine bases, can we move beyond where we currently stand.
Committing to a positive directional move, is more than a nice thought. Growth means actual effort, and requires dedication. My commitment is to provide my students with a focus on themselves, in a dedicated time and space where they can practice a yoga based framework that is proven to help facilitate a meaningful and personal transformation.
After a serious automobile accident, I spent 1 month in a coma, 9 months in the hospital and received 3 reconstructive surgeries. My feet and ankle mobility were zero. After 4 months of yoga, specific to my condition, my limp is almost gone and I can do things that other accident survivors took years to do and recover. Jaime is not just a yoga teacher, he is the best alternative to physical therapy I have found.
After 30 years at the same desk, contracture stiffened my body. My back, shoulders and legs were so tight, I was not able to look around while in driving. Between the Bokudoga and Yoga sessions, my mobility has increased and my tension is now managed with each session. Lower back stiffness has dramatically reduced and freedom of movement has been slowly renewed. I never thought I would be a yoga or "fight sport" person, but I feel so much better.
I was a candidate for costly lumbar surgery when I met Jaime. My doctor convinced me that I needed a risky procedure. After a few 1:1 stretch sessions, I realized my bad disks and pain could be managed without an unnecessary operation. I am so grateful for what I have experienced and learned about my body and nutrition. I have no intention to go back to the broken person that I once was.
Many people, myself included, under rate the benefits of stretching, and to be honest, we are too lazy to do it ourselves. I get it! But this is such a genius concept! Why not have someone else do the stretching for you?! To have any quality of life you have to be able to move well. Whether I’ve had a long day sitting at my desk or a workout, I want to make sure I can function and get around. I can’t recommend this approach enough!!!
I found yoga 12 years ago. Although I am able to get into advanced yoga poses, I still suffered from mild to sometimes debilitating back pain. I had no clue how strength and conditioning of my core and hips would impact the stability of my low spine. I have experienced a profound difference in not only my pain but my posture and confidence have drastically increased. I feel AMAZING and am grateful for my growth.
I never thought that yoga was something I could do. Flat back and chair yoga have become essential to my mobility and pain management. My posture is better, my knees are stronger and my lower back have less tension and aches.
I could have never done this without the things I’ve learned these past few months. I highly recommend Jaime to help you, like he did me.
