Join the Budogakan Barefoot Walking Club every Friday evening for a 30 minute community walk focused on movement, mindfulness, and reconnecting your feet with the ground beneath you.
An ordinary neighborhood sidewalk becomes a natural obstacle course when you take off your shoes. Concrete, textured asphalt, grass, soil, stones, and changing surfaces encourage the feet to feel, adapt, and stabilize with every step. This work begins at the feet but travels through the entire kinetic chain, supporting the ankles, knees, hips, and the way your body moves as a whole.
The walk is also an opportunity to slow the world down, calm the breath, quiet the mind, notice your surroundings, and step away from the constant stimulation of everyday life.

Come as you are. We’ll begin slowly and walk mindfully together. Barefoot walking is something the feet adapt to gradually, so there is no expectation of distance or speed. Participants should remain attentive to the walking surface and potential hazards along the way.
